“Motown Honey” aka “Bee” is a 4yr old, 16.1hh, ottb mare. This girl is quiet, gentle, and just absolutely beautiful. She has an amazing laid back personality. She is an in your pocket type of girl, and not marish in the slightest. Bee would be an amazing show prospect, lesson horse, trail partner, she is safe and has potential in many different directions! Quiet enough for a kid or AA to bring along, yet talented enough for an advanced rider to enjoy. ​ In the barn, Bee has zero bad habits or vices. She is quiet in her stall, and can live inside or out. She pastures nicely with a mixed herd and causes no drama. She is not dominant in the pasture, just minds her own business. She greets you in the pasture and she is the first one at the gate to say hello. Bee has great, gentle ground manners and she is totally quiet to work around. She is a doll of a mare, loves attention, loves people, and wants to be your best friend. Bee stands quietly on the cross ties to be groomed, bathed, tacked, etc. She is good for the vet and farrier, barefoot, has good feet, no maintenance, a simple diet and not a hard keeper. No soundness or health issues. 

​ Bee will hit the trails alone or with a group. She will lead, follow, and is not spooky. She is patient and happy to stop and stand when asked. Doesn’t mind my dogs trailing her heels, doesn’t mind traffic, and atvs, and crosses water, rocks, logs, etc. She has been exposed to all sorts of wildlife as well. She trail rides independently, quietly, and rides on a loose rein. 

​ Bee rides western, english, and bareback. She has a smooooth trot, and a lofty, lopey, uphill canter. She is a great combination of whoa and go, happy to take it easy, but goes to work when asked without needing a crop or spurs. She is not a hot, nor forward horse, yet has a good work ethic and loves to please her rider. She is really fun to ride, and bring along, as she is super intelligent and wants to learn. While she is still “green” over all in the ring, she has a fantastic start and has not been pushed. I have been focusing on relaxation, softness and over all just slowly bringing her along. She is the type of horse that looks good in both western and english and has been very versatile. I can see this girl rocking it in both worlds! 

​ In the ring, Bee will walk, jog, trot, canter, has offered a couple of lead changes, moves off of leg, learning to neck rein, stops well, backs up, learning to pivot, and learning about collection. She has been lightly introduced to fences and is a natural at jumping. She rides in a simple snaffle and is soft in your hands, I have also ridden her in just a neck rope. She is learning to ride off of your aids, and voice commands but with that, she is not a sensitive ride, and very user friendly. The videos you see of Bee over fences, were taken the first and only time that I have jumped her so far. With her being young, I don’t feel the need to jump her a lot, and I was very impressed with her willingness and natural ability over fences. She was honest to every jump, and just knew what to do! ​ If you are looking for a safe, no silly business, smart partner, here is your girl. Bee came to me on Aug 26th, arrived quiet, and settled right into her new life here. She has learned so much already in this short time, and has been a doll to have around. Bee had an easy life on the track with only 13 starts. ​ From her good looks, and pretty head, to her amazing brain, athleticism, and quietness, Bee has got it all going on for her. She is going to make someone a fantastic mount, whether you are looking for a future show horse, hunt horse, lesson horse, or just looking to hit the trails, Bee has the potential to head into any direction and finish your way.
